I have knowledge and expertise in fluid dynamics and separation processes. I have conducted numerous experiments using the numerous types of distillations and understand their uses from water treatment to alcohol distillation. I know how to create and adjust distillation processes that would lead to the maximum upyield possible while maintaining a high purity.

To the left is a memo my partner and I wrote investigating the Rayleigh equation and its practical uses for batch distillation. In the experiment, we distilled an ethanol-water solution and recorded the mass of the beaker that collected the product and the refractive index. From there, we were able to conclude the usefulness of the Rayleigh equation in the industry as well as found the optimal run time to collect the max yield without a decrease in purity. 

In regards to water treatment, I am knowledgeable and experienced in the different separation methods used for it. To the right is a presentation analyzing distillation and its uses compared to other methods such as filtration. The presentation highlights the distillation process and advantages it has over other methods. Additionally, it contains information from an experiment where my group created PRO/II simulations that compared simple vs fractional distillation.
